Star Wars: Battlefront review:5 stars (Awesome) - This is a cool way to get in the star wars experience. This takes it from a different perspective being able to play as the rebels, the empire or the sepratist army. The Star Wars series is the greatest science fiction series known to man - and there is no denying it. The classic George Lucas films of a galaxy far, far away captured the imagination of young and old minds alike, all around the world. It is because of this that many Star Wars video games exist. Unfortunately, like with the Star Wars novels out there, the video games are hit and miss. For every Rebel Strike, there's a Masters Of Teras Kasi out there to drag down the reputation of the series. In 2006, Star Wars: Battlefront was released on many gaming systems. Read on for my review of this title.

Star Wars: Battlefront is one of the greatest Star Wars games out there. It is totaly different from every other Star Wars game in existance, but this is in a GOOD way. Essentially, the game plays like many of the multiplayer online combat action games, but it throws in the elements of the Star Wars universe. What you get as a result of this is a whole lot of fun. Basically, each mission puts you in one of the armies of the Star Wars universe (Army of the Republic, Battle Droid Army, Imperial Stormtroopers, Rebel Troopers, etc.) You choose one of several different kinds of troops on the same side and play the role of that kind of trooper. The objective of the game is to capture all of the bases in the level, and to destroy all of the players on the opposing side. Every time you die, you can respawn, and if you wish, you may choose an alternate respawning location, as well as a different class of character (or you can do the same ones.) The character classes all play differently, with each having its own strengths and weaknesses. The locales are widely diverse, and the game covers both the classic Star Wars Trilogy, as well as the more recent prequel Trilogy. Most levels also have vehicles you can pilot, which only adds to the overall appeal. You can play two-player split-screen combat scenarios, either cooperative or competitive, or you can do online LAN play if you have the necessary equipment! Even if you're just a single player, there are plenty of play modes to quench your thirst. My complaints for this game are few and far between. The only major complaint I have is that since this game was clearly designed with PC gamers in mind rather than consular ones, the learning curve is steeper than in most Star Wars video games. But if you can learn the game, you'll grow to enjoy it A LOT. I had my doubts about this game, but was wrong to have them. Star Wars games don't get much better.

Recently, Star Wars: Battlefront was declared a Playstation Two Greatest Hits title! This is great, because it makes the game readily available in stores again, AND AT A MUCH LOWER PRICE! With the game's price dropping from $50 to $20 in most retailers, if you're a Star Wars fan, you'd be a damn fool NOT to buy it!

If you're looking for a Star Wars game that won't disappoint, Battlefront is exactly what you're looking for. Though very different from the other Star Wars games we've seen appear on consoles in recent years, it's quite possibly the best of the bunch. In a galaxy far, far away, the video games are hit and miss. I assure you, however, this is one of the hits. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. FIVE STARS.5 stars (For Any Gamer) - In my opinion this game is great. for those people that like thrid or first person view and love to, destroy, kill, and maul over people with vehicles this is the perfect game.

I for one can sit around and play this game for hours. the graphics are great, the aiming is a little twitchy but hey nothings perfect.

even people that arent to good at 1 player killing games. it matters not because you have an army either beside you or running to keep up with you.

For those people that have, friends, brother, sisters, or other family members this game is great because you can team up against the other team or fight eachother. this game is great for anyone.
