Nancy Drew - Curse of Blackmoor Manor review:4 stars (Awesome game!) - I really liked this game. It was really scary at some parts.I also liked that it was in England. The puzzles were hard though. You should buy this game!!!4 stars (Creepy But Cool) - This game was good in a certain fashion. It was good in the scary way, but it just didn't seem to live up to the former ND games.
3 stars (well...) - The best I can say about this game is that the graphics were really good, it was a great plot, and the scary parts were cool.

Okay, ready for some negativity, because you're going to get it!

But first things first. Let's go over what Herinteractive promised with CUR.

"Play alone or with friends and family."
This is one of the true statements. Yes, this is a very good game to play with other people. Also, because this game is so incredibly hard, multiple heads are A WHOLE LOT BETTER then one.

"Over 25 hours of spellbinding game play."
Absolutely, positively NOT. This game, without the strategy guide or help from online, could take some up to a month or more, I swear. It's frustrating!!!

"Enhanced challenges with two difficulty settings."
More like "impossible challenges that you can't solve without help". The difficulty settings thing is crap. The only thing that's different is there is no "to do" list. That's it. That's not even necsesary!!!

"Suspects move, sleep and interact according to game time schedules."
Okay, this is partly true as well. If you're up in the middle of the night, everyone is asleep, if you're up during the day, everyone's up. That's it.

"Forgiving ""Second Chance" option erases blunders and rookie mistakes."
It doesn't "erase" them, it just starts over from right before you made the mistake. Don't take "Second Chance" to mean that you only get two chances to do something. You could kill yourself 30 times and still be able to try it again.

The ending was crap, too, so after looking at all this, you're going to think "is it really worth it to buy this game". Well, it is, despite what I said, on many levels, but I'm too lazy to tell them all. Anyway, if this is your first Nancy Drew game, get an earlier game first, like The Final Scene or The Haunted Carousel. They are a little bit easier, and once you get better at them, you can try out CUR for yourself. Also, if you scare easy, don't play this game alone at night. You'll thank me later.
